Veteran after healing retreat, made possible by charitable transportation

In Her Own Words...

"I was suffering from severe PTSD, depression, and anxiety. I was contacted through a mutual combat veteran friend for an opportunity to participate in a Veterans' retreat for PTSD, Anxiety and Depression. It would be truly life-changing. But there was just one problem - the retreat was in Seattle, Washington and I live in Colorado. I wasn't able to afford the round-trip airfare."

"The team at Mercy Medical Angels arranged travel on Southwest Airlines. I would not - and more importantly, could not - have spent the money to do this for me. I wasn't prioritizing myself well. Mercy Medical Angels made me prioritize myself for a change. That was the first step in my healing journey."

"By not having to worry about the travel expenses, I was better able to prepare myself for the hard work that was ahead of me. My flights were great and the fact I received transportation assistance helped me have financial stability. My quality of life has improved, thanks to Mercy Medical Angels."

"Thank you so much for making it possible!"
