Patient with multiple conditions after receiving out-of-state treatment

In Her Own Words...

"I have been dealing with severe health problems since I was 22 years old. For ten years, these problems went undiagnosed. But after being hospitalized three times in the past six months, my doctors managed to come up with some diagnoses."

"I have an adrenal insufficiency caused by a rare, isolated ACTH deficiency. This is accompanied by parathyroid issues. I also have multi-focal avascular necrosis in 18 bones. My bones are having strokes and losing blood flow, causing bone and joint collapse."

"These issues needed to be treated out of state, as no local doctors can help due to the rarity of my conditions. I would have to fly from Boise, Idaho to Mayo Clinc in Rochester, Minnesota. But I couldn't afford the cost of a round-trip ticket. I'm not working anymore and medical expenses are burning through my savings."

"Mercy Medical Angels arranged charitable flights for me on Delta Airlines. My flight was great. Everyone was so nice and the trip was seamless. The transportation assistance from Mercy Medical Angels increased my quality of life, and helped me maintain physical and mental wellness."

"If I had not found Mercy Medical Angels, there would be no way I could afford to seek care. Health challenges are already scary, let alone worrying if you'll ever be able to fix it due to lack of finances to get there. Mercy Medical Angels is literally life changing. I'm so thankful I found this organization!"
