Man Battling Multiple Myeloma Receives Transportation to Care

A Quest for Care
Jaime was diagnosed with multiple myeloma four years ago. At the time, he didn't have health insurance, so finding treatment was next to impossible. "It was very difficult for me and my family," said Jaime.
He eventually managed to get health insurance. but the treatments that his hometown doctors offered him weren't helping. That meant Jaime would have to seek care elsewhere.
Struggle to Survive
Because of his illness and the side effects from treatment, Jaime is unemployed. He receives SSI, which barely covers his living expenses. There is very little breathing room in his budget as it is, but now he had to drive further than he usually would to access effective cancer treatment.
Surviving was becoming a struggle. How would Jaime access his cancer treatments, without putting himself and his family in debt?
Assistance From Angels
When the situation was looking truly bleak, Jaime and his family began to pray for aid and dove into researching organizations that could help. The assistance they needed came straight from the angels - Mercy Medical Angels, to be exact!
Mercy Medical Angels sent Jaime gas cards. This helped him to have financial stability, and also allowed him to maintain his physical and mental wellness. "Their service is great," said Jaime.
"The Path Is Long..."
It is likely that Jaime will need more assistance in the near future. But he now rests assured that he can count on Mercy Medical Angels to send the help he needs.
"The path is long," said Jaime, "but when you find the right help, everything gets better. Thank you, Mercy Medical Angels, for your help and support!"
