Patient with Treacher Collins Syndrome after receiving life-changing surgery

In His Own Words...

"I have Treacher Collins Syndrome. This resulted in deafness from birth and I have had many surgeries in my 19 years. For most of the surgeries, my parents and I had to travel."

"I'm currently in college. My parents are retired police officers on a fixed income. The medical expenses are depleting the family's savings. Unexpectedly, I needed to have new hearing technology implanted. We would need to go to Richmond, Virginia to have this surgery done, and we live in Nevada. There was no way we would be able to afford the cost of travel on top of everything else."

"Mercy Medical Angels arranged travel for me and my parents on Southwest Airlines. Thanks to them, I was able to receive the new hearing technology. The surgeon who implanted it has worked with me before. Now I'm in recovery and headed back to college soon."

"I couldn't have gotten this life-changing operation if it weren't for Mercy Medical Angels and Southwest Airlines. They made it possible for me without increasing my family's financial burden. From me and my family, thank you!"
