Leukemia patient is receiving treatment thanks to gas cards

In His Own Words...

"A while back, I was diagnosed with leukemia. Fighting cancer was just the start of my problems. I also developed platelet issues, so in addition to cancer treatment, I had to see a specialist for that. Then other medical problems came up, and I needed to see my primary care physician once or twice a month. I've been in and out of the hospital so many times, sometimes I tell people that I'm a professional patient."

"I have to travel from my home to Methodist Hospital in Houston. My usual doctor is just outside Houston. It's about 80 miles round trip for the Methodist Hospital, and 86 miles round trip for seeing my usual doctor. I'm on disability, and the costs of travel for medical care are piling up."

"Mercy Medical Angels helped me by sending me gas cards. The gas cards help me maintain financial stability more easily than if I was paying for gas alone. And my health is improving, along with my quality of life. I truly appreciate the help Mercy Medical Angels has given me - thank you so much for what you do!"
