Patient with rare neurological illnesses received treatment thanks to volunteer pilots

In Her Own Words...

“I have a rare brain disease called autoimmune encephalitis. Also, I suffer from migraines and epilepsy. The doctors in my Virginia hometown were unable to help me, so I had to travel to see a neurologist who specializes in my conditions.”

“This specialist, Dr. Fellus, is one of the best doctors in America who can treat my conditions. But he’;s located in New Jersey, and I can’t afford to pay for travel. This is because I can’t work, due to my illness. I’m on a very limited income.”

“Then, I found out about Angel Flight Mid-Atlantic, a program of Mercy Medical Angels. They were able to help me by flying me to New Jersey for free. If it weren’t for them, I would not have been able to start life-changing treatment with Dr. Fellus. Words cannot describe my gratitude towards the volunteer pilots and the rest of the organization.”

“Everything was phenomenal. Thank you!”
