Teen Receives Life-Changing Surgery: Dayne's Story

In His Family's Words...
“My son, Dayne, turned 15 this past summer. He was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease, requiring him to have a spinal fusion out of state. Boston Children’s Hospital was our best option. His surgery was a must, but it required lengthy travel with lots of expenses since we had to stay in Boston."
"Driving from our home in Deville, Louisiana to Boston Children’s Hospital would have lasted multiple days. Traveling more than 1,500 miles by car would have been hard on Dayne’s back. A commercial flight would take less than 6 hours and be more comfortable, but that was too expensive. We didn’t know what to do."
"Mercy Medical Angels arranged a round-trip flight for us on American Airlines. The Hogan Foundation helped pay for the tickets. Our trip went very well. Without the help of Mercy Medical Angels, we would not have been able to have the surgery that Dayne was needing at this time. That would have resulted in him being in more pain."
"Thank you so much to your organization and everything you have done.”
