Mercy Medical Angels Provides Cancer Patient Gas Cards

Breast Cancer Stacks the Odds

Judith lives in Florida, also known as the Sunshine State. However, her life isn't as bright and cheery as the name of her home state suggests.

"I was diagnosed with breast cancer," said Judith. She adds that because of all the medical appointments she needs to attend, "I am not able to work at the moment." The breast cancer diagnosis had stacked the odds against Judith. Turning the tables back in her favor seemed next to impossible.

What Seemed Impossible...

Judith receives her care at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. This hospital is located in Miami, Florida. The drive takes an hour or so, depending on traffic. That's just going one way.

While it doesn't sound like much for a healthy person, for Judith, the frequency of the trips is draining her finances. She goes on to list the countless appointments that she needs to attend. They include scans, treatments, and seeing her oncologist.

"Because I am not working," said Judith, "often I can't afford gas to drive to my medical appointments."  Sometimes, she has had no choice but to reschedule or even cancel the care she needs - all because she can't afford the cost of gas for her car.

How could Judith conquer what seemed impossible?

...Became Possible

Sometimes when a situation seems impossible, people pray for angels to work a miracle. In this case, the miracle came from Mercy Medical Angels! Mercy Medical Angels sent Judith free gas cards. This turned an impossible situation around, making her treatment possible.

"I must say, this team is very helpful and always responds to my needs," said Judith. "I thank God for their assistance." She continued to say that it "stopped a gap."

"Now I am able to go to my doctors appointment without any difficulty."

"I Humbly Say Thanks!"

Now, Judith is able to attend her medical appointments. At last, she is on the road to remission. While this road is long, it's not lonely. The distance may have been a roadblock, but the free gas cards from Mercy Medical Angels helped her go around it.

"I just want to take the time out," said Judith, "to thank Mercy Medical Angels. They listened to me and helped me in my time of need." She adds that she's praying for all those who donated so that she - and others - can receive life-saving care.

"I humbly say thanks!"
