Joyce Gardella, Board Secretary

 Joyce Gardella currently serves as the secretary on the Board of Mercy Medical Angels. She is a (retired) military spouse. Her late husband Paul was a volunteer pilot for MMA and she enjoyed accompanying him on mission flights whenever possible. 

While raising three children and navigating Navy life, Joyce has enjoyed a wide range of work experience over the years which have taken her from California, to Virginia, to Germany, and a few other places in between. 

She received her B.A. from Villanova University and M.Ed. from George Mason University. She is a retired Fairfax County Public Schools educator having taught eighth grade civics and economics. 

She currently works for an attorney in McLean, Virginia, and maintains her affiliation with organizations promoting aviation safety and those serving the needs of individuals and families unable to bear their burdens alone.
